ParityTrack is a collaborative forum that works to aggregate and elevate the parity implementation work taking place across the country. Parity Track aims to be the  central site for mental health and substance use disorder, parity information and to offer an exclusive look at parity issues. Parity Track seeks to help consumers understand their rights under the Federal Parity Law and state parity laws and to empower consumers to exercise those rights.

We rely upon a multi-pronged approach that targets all actors responsible for parity compliance.

We accomplish this by:

1. Tracking parity-related legislative, statutory, regulatory and legal activities in all 50 states and at the federal level to monitor implementation throughout the country. The Legislation pages focus on parity-related bills that have been introduced by Congress or by state legislatures, the Statutory pages focus on passed bills that have become laws, and the Regulation pages focus on parity-related rules or actions taken by federal or state agencies. Additionally, significant state and federal ERISA and parity-related legal case summaries are also provided.

2. Developing model resources, such as legislation and compliance tools, that state and federal policymakers can use to ensure full compliance

3. Creating comprehensive and detailed issue briefs on parity and related topics to increase knowledge of behavioral health insurance laws

4. Developing Consumer Solutions and resources to educate consumers on potential parity violations and develop pathways for consumers to file appeals if coverage for behavioral health services have been improperly denied.
