Summary

This bill tried to change the state insurance law by adding a section about parity. It would have required individual plans, large employer fully-insured plans, and small employer fully-insured plans with more than 25 employees to cover mental health services that is “no less extensive” than coverage for other medical services. Mental health conditions were defined as those in the DSM. It did not specify if this includes substance use disorders.
